*hiss, spit, tantrum*
The 200-level English course I really, really want to take isn't being offered next year.
ARG! Why don't they cut the stoopid "writing for stage and screen" course? Grargh. It's not like writing for stage and screen is ever going to pay- okay, okay, so poetry isn't going to either but SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE, WTF? And there aren't really any other courses at 200-level I want to take- oh, okay, except Children's Literature, which ALSO IS NOT BEING OFFERED. Man, English department, all I want to do is write poetry and study Frances Hodgson Burnett, WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO?
Is it wrong of me to not want to take courses on the eighteenth century novel? Or drama? Or NZ literature? (okay, I feel guilty about that last one. It would be sort of nice to study Witi Ihimaera, but I'm not a Frame fan *guilt guilt HUILT*) Okay, History of the English Language looks quite interesting, and so does Shakespeare on Film- but that was a special topic and it's not going to be offered again. *glum* and it's a real shame, because that also looks totally cool. And The Taming of the Shrew was on the list, which means they probably did 10 things I hate about you. How unfair is this, world?
*sulks and wanders off to go look at Philosophy courses*

Even if I most likely will end up with enough points for half a dozen BAs. *faceplant*

Aw man, I got hassled today (in a jovial manner, of course) by my good mate for having a Arts degree. *rolls eyes* Just cos she's doing Accounting, I mean really! I always got it in the halls as well, living with a zillion engineers, who always had me on for doing a Bachelor of McDonalds. It would always hit a nerve, cos there are times when I'm terrified that I'll end up having spent all this money on various qualifications, and I'll have no bloody job! I don't know why I had to go and pick the impossible career paths...publishing is a bastard to get into, they're massively phasing out radio announcers, there's no money in writing to start with, and I don't know if I'll ever get into journalism school for a start...*shakes head* fun times.
Sorry, I really needed to get that out! Mind you, I always bag Engineering and Commerce, so who I am to talk?! lol

Where you major in two arts subjects?

Eh *pats* Hey, no matter what happens, at least you can comfort yourself with the memory that you didn't do Commerce and Accounting.
