But why don't you like Pakeha? In my opinion, there is no word in English to describe the position of a New Zealander of European descent, especially not of New Zealand European is objected to. Pakeha is a word that has really entered English by now, and is descriptive of someone who has lived all or most of their life in New Zealand, is a New Zealand citizen, is affected by all parts of New Zealand culture- which I really think is hugely affected by Maori culture.

I guess I just don't feel that Caucasian is precise enough, or a true term of ethnicity as opposed to race.
