Part One: General Information

The following are questions about the characters of the show, or events that happened in the show that are important to the overall arc of the show. Answer them as best you can.

01. What are the names of the four members of the Winchester family?
John, Mary, Dean and Sam

02. What is the city and state where the Winchesters lived before the accident?
Lawrence, Kansas

03. In what year did Sam and Dean’s mother die?
1983

04. What kind of car does Dean drive?
67/9 Chevy Impala

05. What powers does Sam possess?
It's not clear! He appears to have precognitive dreams and visions, plus a little bonus extra telekinesis. In Home Missouri thinks that he senses the presence of spirits in the house, which wouldn't be precognition but some vague, handwavy kind of psychicness. His powers seem to become more... um, powerful, the closer they relate to the demon or to Sam's family.

06. What is the full name of Sam’s girlfriend?
Jessica Moore. Middle name... Elizabeth, maybe?

07. From what school did Sam receive his undergraduate degree?
Stanford, although come to think of it I don't know if he actually graduated or not.

08. In what field did Sam receive his degree?
I'm not sure. It was supposed to be a pre-law degree but there's no specific major for that, right?

09. Name two ways that the Winchesters “earn” their money. What did Dean want to be when he grew up?
A fireman!

10. What is Dean’s irrational fear?
Flying!

11. Name two ways that the Winchesters “earn” their money.
Hustling pool, credit card scams, card games and really, really good LSAT scores. D'int we have this one already?

12. Who told Papa Winchester the truth about supernatural phenomena?
Missouri Mosely.

13. Where do Sam and Dean find out most of their information about supernatural creatures?
Their Dad's journal and their trusty laptop.

14. Why does Sam feel guilty about his girlfriend’s death?
Because he had dreams of her death for weeks before she died.

15. What was Papa Winchester’s job before the death of his wife?
Auto mechanic.

16. In what branch of the military did Papa Winchester serve?
Marines.

17. What was the date of Sam’s girlfriend’s death?
Sam's 22-and-six-month birthday, but goodness only knows. Oh, oh, oh, wait! 02/11/05, I think.

18. Why is the Colt special?
It was hand-made by Samuel Colt, who etched pentagrams into the butt (because that makes it SPECIAL). It had 13 silver bullets which, shot by the gun, can kill absolutely anything.

19. In what year did Samuel Colt make this special gun?
Back when those men died at the Alamo. I don't know, we don't care about American history in this country. :P 1867?

20. Name four people with whom Papa Winchester has had a “falling out.”
Hahaha. Bobby Singer, Ellen, Pastor Jim, Sam Winchester!

Part two: Damsels in Distress

Match the women Sam and Dean helped or protected in some way to the episode that they were featured in.

01. Hallie Collins – (Hallie? Really?) Wendigo

02. Alice Miller - Um. *guesses blindly* Is that evil stepmommy from Nightmare?

03. Sarah Blake - Provenance

04. Rosie -*squeaks* And she's such a cutie! Salvation

05. “Little” Becky Warren - Skin

06. Cassie Robinson – Route 666

07. Jenny – ... is that the girl from Scarecrow? If so, I liked her. Pity I can't remember her name.

08. Layla Rourke – Faith

Part three: Supernatural Lore

For questions 1-5, you need to identify the evil creature M.O. Identify which supernatural (or just plain evil) creature kills in each of the five ways listed. If the creature doesn’t have a name, then describe it the best you can.

01. Melting the eyes of anyone who has a secret that involved a person dying.
Bloody Mary

02. Savagely ripping apart the bodies of its victims.
Daeva or shadow demons.

03. Burning alive the mothers of “special” children.
Celine Demon!

04. Latching onto people’s repressed emotions.
A poltergeist or other spirit- as seen in Hook Man

05. Targeting children specifically.
The Shtriga in Something Wicked preferred children, but it could feed from adults too.

For questions 6-8, you should identify which supernatural creature says the “catchphrase” listed. If the creature doesn’t have a name, then describe it the best you can.

06. “Don’t be afraid. I’m going to make you all better.”
Dr Ellicott (James?) in Asylum. Um. *tiny frightened noises*

07. “Come play with me!”
The little boy spirit in Dead in the Water.

08. “No survivors.”
The phantom traveller demon in... phantom traveller.

09. “I can never go home.”
Constance Welch, a woman in white.

The rest of the section is general questions about the supernatural creatures that the Winchesters have faced.

10. What do they have to do to get rid of the ghost of Melanie Merchant?
Burned her favourite toy, a doll made using her own hair.

11. What kind of problem/affliction can a person have that will make it easier for a demon to possess him/her?
Stress or insecurity, mental instability.

12. How early do the Daeva date back?
Very, very early; they feature (in show canon) in Zoroastrianism, which is really very old. Possibly pre-history?

13. In mythology/legend, what does the number 40 mean?
It recalls the Bible's 40 days and 40 nights of rain and flood - Dean says that it is the number that means "death" but I personally think he's overreacting.

14. What’s the only way to kill a shapeshifter/skinwalker?
Silver bullet to the heart, like any shapeshifter (werewolfs etc)

15. Jacob Karns killed 13 people of what “profession” before he became the Hookman?
Prostitutes. Um, prostitution is a profession, it's kind of rude to put it in quotes. Prostitutes shouldn't be second class citizens, that's just what Karns (Carnes? Bah) thought.

16. From what country do Shtrigas originate?
Um, shoot. Norway?

17. Who was the driver of the killer truck?
Cyrus

18. How are women in white made?
They are women who discover their husband is cheating in them, go temporarily insane and kill their kids, and then when the realise what they have done, kill themselves. They haunt areas to kill unfaithful men.

19. How are Wendigos made?
After a cold winter or other extreme circumstances, someone might become a wendigo after killing and/or eating his friends or companions to survive.

20. The Tibetan Spirit Sigil helps conjure what kind of spirit?
Actually, I don't believe it was used to summon any particular kind of spirit? It was used to focus belief (golems, etc) and then calls forth the subject of the beliefs.

Cassie in Route 666

Part Five: The Television Connection:

Supernatural hires actors and actresses that are known for their work on other television shows. For questions 1-8, name the actors or actresses who appeared on Supernatural as well as each of the following shows (I only need one name per show, though is some cases there is more than one answer). If you don’t know the actor’s name, then describe the character he/she played on Supernatural for partial credit. (Note: Some answers in this section are from season two)

01. Due South - Um, I have never seen dS, ever. Ever. So I don't know, although mayyyyybe the demon from In My Time Of Dying? Um, who knows.

02. Angel - Julie Benz, who was of course the lovely Layla in Faith.

03. The 4400 - Also never seen it, but is it creepy little girl from Provenance?

04. Veronica Mars - Alona Tal plays Jo in Everybody Loves a Clown

05. Highlander –

06. The X-Files –

07. Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Amber Benson, playing the ambiguosly non-evil vampire in Bloodlust. I really feel this was bad casting because, well... Buffy already covered this territory, and she's just going to remind the audience of that.

08. Sabrina the Teenage Witch – Aunt Zelda (or is it Helga? Actually, I think maybe Helga) was evil stepmommy in Nightmare.

09. What television show did Jeffrey Dean Morgan guest star on simultaneous to Supernatural?
Grey's anatomy

10. The WB is known for recycling their talent. What other WB shows did Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles work on before landing Supernatural?
