SHOPPING!

XD So, today my grandmother picked me up and took me BALL DRESS SHOPPING OMFG SQUEEE!!!!!

Er, yeah. *coughs* So...

Okay, so SHOPPING, <3! See, I have my school ball this Saturday, and of course I've been incrdibly disorganised and haven't gone to get patterns and fabrics and really had NO IDEA WHAT I WANTED; my grandma was making it, and it wass going to be stunning and RED, that's all I knew. So... I had Ideas, very vague ones, and also I knew I needed shoes... so we went out to Spotlight, which is this chain materials and patterns store. it's great fun. We spent about two hours browsing through fabrics and patterns and other stuff like that, and this is what we've settled on: firstly this FABULOUS red satin full skirt, with a tulle petticoat that'll peep out under the hem cutely. I LOVE the fabric. Then a top to go with it, which will have a red satin underlayer, and then on top this sheer gauzy blaxk stuff with little silver dots all over it; it sounds hopelessly corny but really the red and the black look beautiful together. The top's going to... well, the sleeves are short and look sort of like a shawl or something coming into a neckline, which sounds really fogey but in reality is supercool. XD.

The we went out for a very long and relaxing lunch at bordeaux, where I drank what is incidentally the best hot chocolate IN THE WORLD, NO KIDDING and ate a massive bowl of hot chips. Yum. Then we went shoe shopping. I normally hate shoe shopping with a passion, but the ones I eventually picked- after sitting in the shoe shop for about three hours trying on three different sizes of the same shoe- are SO cool. They're all strappy and... anyway, I have PICTURES! .

These are my fabrics:

and these are THE SHOES!!
