Everyone's talking 'bout Torchwood S2 but I gave up on the beginning of S1. But well now I want to watch this (awesomely titled) episode. Can I do this without, yanno, RUINING EVERYTHING? I'll probably go back and fill in the blanks if I like it.

I, um, as long as you saw the last three episodes of DW s3 you should be pretty much okay to go; it's not like Torchwood explains anything ever about Jack or has actual character development for the others. I think watching random eps of Torchwood RUINS NOTHING for not having seen them in order.

Funnily enough, I didn't really give up on it until I went back and watched the whole first season with my friend and was like, "...wow, how have I not realized how stupid this is?" XD

So now I just enjoy it for the stupidity. It's actually kind of fun if you have zero expectations.
