*handwavy* I'm waiting up to get the Eureka S3 premiere - which, I just, WHERE ARE ALL THE UPLOADS, PEOPLE. I hate being in a small fandom, it aired hours ago! I was pretty relaxed about it earlier tonight, watching some Sportsnight - that old Aaron Sorkin show, which, I don't know, eh? I'm not sure if I'm just eh on it because I'm simultaneously working on a very complicated lace shawl so I'm not paying huge amounts of attention and Sorkin dialogue is too fast-moving to support that, or if I think Sorkin really suffers from having a laugh track (yes, he does), or if watching this show having already seen West Wing and Studio 60 is just kind of a waste of time, like reading a new David Eddings book - it's just a rehash of stuff you've read before, but if you read the originals you'll get nostalgia value as well, so you should just re-read.

Shawl proceeds apace, very tinily but cuter and cuter every second! I can't stop knitting it to knit the hat and gloves I'm supposed to be knitting for my brothers (hat for H, gloves for R). Or to find a cool pattern for the scarf I want to knit my other friend. I have figured out which yarn I want to use though (Ashford Tekapo has this awesome new variegated colourway called Random and I WANTS IT, thank you! Although I should probably use the Panda Mosaic I already have which would create a similar effect.)

Oh god, that David Eddings comparison is perfect.

Also with Sorkin you really just have to wait and ask yourself, and where will the episode be entitled 'What Kind of Day Has it Been?' (And according to wikipedia - I just needed to double check - that would be every season one finale. Seriously. I didn't know it was quite that bad).

However, saying that I do love Sportsnight a lot. Dan. <3

Eureka = fun. I have been hooked on this series since I watched the first episode. I am currently dwnldin from Azureus. I'm looking forward to seeing what direction they are going to take this season.

Sooooo question for you. You wouldn't happen to have a spare bit of curb or driveway for a teeny campervan to squish into, would you? On a scale of places to park the thing, this is much less sketchy than most of the options under consideration. Maybe? There can be baked yummies provided... (provided they aren't consumed on the way there, that is ;D)

In christchurch? We have a big old patch of offstreet parking and no-one with a car right now, so potentially, sure! My only concern would be I'm not sure you'd be able to get right in back because the driveway's narrow, but you could probably still fit in front, I think? We have absolutely no onstreet parking of any kind, so it'd HAVE to be offstreet, but like I said, right now we have plenty of that!

You are the answer to our problems. We're only got a little Wicked van, so fitting in somewhere shouldn't be too bad. We're picking up our van on the sixteenth, and we should really only need somewhere to stick it that night, if that's not too much hassle.
Unfortunately, our travel plans have changed (the ferry we supposed to take was canceled), but I've managed to find some just as cheap flights down there, but we can't bribe you with baked goods anymore :(

That's OK. What time are you arriving? Just text me or something to let me know :)
