[livejournal.com profile] absent is doing a really cool thing in her journal where she's asking everyone on her f-list to comment with a song that really speaks to them- a current favourite or an all-time favourite or just something that really describes them- and upload it for her so she can put them all in a playlist and know which song means what person. I think it's a totally awesome idea so I'd like to do the same thing! If you think I already have the song, don't worry about uploading it, of course, just name it. :D

Also, Alice, I think the reason no-one's pimping your Dirty Little Secret meme is that no-one wants to thing their f-list would see their dirty little secrets. On which topic, you all will never know if I did or did not. ;)

Third thing: I am seriously enjoying The Postal Service's Such Great Heights so much right now. Can't YSI it but if you all can get it I advise that you do. :D

PS: [livejournal.com profile] gianp, [livejournal.com profile] lady_larla,[livejournal.com profile] sixth_light, [livejournal.com profile] thinkaholic, [livejournal.com profile] tisis: you guys save me. you know why. ♥

The Darkness - I believe in a Thing Called Love is my singstar song. It just works.

And All By Myself - Jamie O'Neal version. It is my theme song (in a totally not depressing way)

My oldest favourite song isn't too heavy. I've gotten into the heaveir music as time went on.

Its a touching song in my opinion and I'd be surprised if you hadn't heard it.

Lightning Crashes by Live.

Simply one of my favourites ever.

If you want to test your limits, Spiders by System of a Down is placed first equal most days (and is about the same level of rockiness)

LOL I wasn't asking you to edit in for my personal tastes-not really the point, is it? heavy as you like. ;)

I hadn't heard Lightening Crashes, actually. :)

A truly beautiful song that really speaks to me is Hurt Before by the Corrs, which is on their In Blue album...which I totally need to listen to right now, except I've lost the fecking CD! *grrr, spit, hiss, rage, etc.*
It used to be my theme song when I was about 17 or 18, stuck in the transition phase between high school and Uni, and feeling totally uncertain about who I was, and what the future held for me. And now I'm nearly 21, and I'm feeling the same way all over again...but you don't need to know about that. :P The song basically talks about stepping out in faith, even when you're feeling fragile and lost, and when everything's against you.
So yeah, completely gorgeous, definitely a tear-jerker. You should be able to grab it off the hub, I think.

Another one is Stuck in a moment by U2...which is totally my song, seeing as I'm always get hung up on stupid little things that happen to me, and I'm so crap at letting things go! Really awesome. Actually all of U2 is awesome...

hoohah - som many songs, so little time. Um. I can't think of A song that encapsulates me. There have been so many at different parts of my life, and there are plenty now. But if there was one record I was allowed to take with me, it's Beethoven's 5th Symphony.

Billy Joel- You May Be Right It describes me perfectly.

Or Glory from RENT, written by Johnathan Larson.

*waffles*

Totally depends on my general all around mood. Totally. When I'm feeling okay to pretty good, it's mostly Japanese stuff, so then I would say my character song would be Ai no Uta, by Aikawa Nanase. If I feel totally awesome, I'd say Moonlight Shadow, particularly the Missing Heart version.

When I'm in angry-depressed moods like now though. . . I'd say "Last Resort" by Pape Roach or "Unholy Confessions" by Avenged Sevenfold.

I have two. Frou Frou (random name, awesome band) Psychobabble (http://s11.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0DNJ1XAMCTCFA3L386OLEKVQSF). Beautiful tune and then you listen to the lyrics and it becomes a wee bit disturbing. And Freeland We Want Your Soul (http://s5.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=14GPKYUY1KKUB2CZ3T2VB6W84R).
