(no subject)

misery definitely is: getting home from a 24-hour flight + Auckland-Wellington flight at midday (i.e. a time when one should not be sleeping, thereby guaranteeing that my jetlag is going to be really really bad) feeling sick, miserable, and freezing, finding the house is freezing and there is no food at all, and then sleeping through the latest time you can place a Woollies grocery delivery order (since they're the only chain in NZ that delivers they can afford to be assholes) so that you're going to have to leave the house in the freezing cold - seriously, it's so cold I might just give up and expire right now - in order to get food AND THEN GETTING YOUR PERIOD.

I am so full of self-pity right now I might just burst into tears, but that would be really unfortunate for my whole dehydration-because-there-is-crap-pouring-out-of-every-orifice issue. On the plus side, my boss gave me the rest of the week off if I need it, THANK GOD. On the minus side, I have class tomorrow at 9 am. who the hell does that to Honours students, huh? I really really want to go but realistically I may not make it out of bed. :-/

9am classes are indecent and inhuman.

I'm glad you're home safely, even if it is to the depth of winter. And you will soon be warmer and more comfortable and back in teh swing of things. {{hugs}}

:( :( :( I hope that it is warmer now. This morning when I left the house it was *minus four* (according to the Lying Liars). Winter is just not acceptable.

Yes, it's freezing here, I quite agree. *hides under blankets and refuses to come out till it stops raining*
on the plus side - yay, you're home!
