Jul. 13th, 2009 02:53 ammisery definitely is: getting home from a 24-hour flight + Auckland-Wellington flight at midday (i.e. a time when one should not be sleeping, thereby guaranteeing that my jetlag is going to be really really bad) feeling sick, miserable, and freezing, finding the house is freezing and there is no food at all, and then sleeping through the latest time you can place a Woollies grocery delivery order (since they're the only chain in NZ that delivers they can afford to be assholes) so that you're going to have to leave the house in the freezing cold - seriously, it's so cold I might just give up and expire right now - in order to get food AND THEN GETTING YOUR PERIOD.
I am so full of self-pity right now I might just burst into tears, but that would be really unfortunate for my whole dehydration-because-there-is-crap-pouring-out-of-every-orifice issue. On the plus side, my boss gave me the rest of the week off if I need it, THANK GOD. On the minus side, I have class tomorrow at 9 am. who the hell does that to Honours students, huh? I really really want to go but realistically I may not make it out of bed. :-/

on the plus side - yay, you're home!
