labellementeuse: a girl sits at a desk in front of a window, chewing a pencil (Default)
[personal profile] labellementeuse
I was tagged to post my ten most attractive celebrities by [livejournal.com profile] allasomething. So, you know, google image search vs shakespeare essay? NO contest.

Comments as I see fit. ;) Also, my tastes are hopelessly predictable. Sorry.

1.Tobey Maguire. He's also hot in those dorky glasses. Hot that conquers those kinds of frames is really, really hot. ;) *

2. Kirsten Dunst. Kind of goes with Tobey Maguire, of course. Which makes me happy in my pants. Also, it's quite difficult to find pictures of certain women actors actually clothed. Had you noticed? Hotter as a readhead #1.

3. Johnny Depp. Okay, it's no secret that I don't get how he could not be on anyone's list. No, don't try to talk to me about your sexuality. Everyone's bi enough for Johnny.

4.Scarlett Johansson! Because she kicked ass in Girl with a Pearl Earring and Lost in Translation. Being Able To Act Is Attractive.

5. Josh Holloway. Do I even need to say anything? Just look at that.

6.Rose McGowan. Mm. *falls over* She was hotter as a redhead, too.

7. Orlando Bloom. God, I'm so, so sorry.

8. Nicole Kidman. Also hotter as a redhead. Um, yeah.

9. Brad Pitt. *ashamed*

10. Helen Clark.
Okay, she's not attractive. This Has Been My Election Pimping For The Day. Vote For Helen. because not sure of her sex but you know she's got balls!
10.

*Not meant to be insulting. I wore glasses for several years and mostly they don't really impact. But those glasses in Spiderman would be hideous on anyone, except he pulls them off and just looks hot and geeky. Mmhmm.

Also, I'm bored. And so I'm going to do my favourite meme. ^^

1. Shuffle your playlist.
2. Of the first 25 songs that come up, no matter how embarassing, put your favourite lyric on your LJ. Try not to include the title.
3. Open season to your f-list to see who can guess the most songs.
4. Strike the songs off as they are guessed correctly. No cheating like duh.

1. I know that you've got a job, Mr Campbell,
but you're starting to say things I can't handle.
So that little C won't let me be,
Talking 'bout corn that's not GE free
He tried to shut me down on TV3
But at least my head don't look like a trophy!
So come and vote, it's red all the way
or I'll cry like I did on Waitangi Day.
Tick two boxes, don't be silly
Hey, check out the polls- UP YOURS, BILLY!

Oh man I could quote EVERYTHING from that one. I love it. :P

Without Me: The Helen Clark Remix (Bill & Ben). Duuuude. :D Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] sarahgeek

2. Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance...
Kiss Me, by Sixpence None the Richer. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] chattycheese. :D

3. And we live a life of ease
Every one of us has all we need

WEEEE all live in a Yellow Submarine, the Beatles. Picked by [livejournal.com profile] nzlemming

4. Twisting and turning
Your feelings are burning
You're breaking the girl
She meant you no harm

5. She moved so easily all I could think of was sunlight
I said "Aren't you the woman who was recently given a Fullbright?"
She said "Don't I know you from the cinematographer's party?"
I said "And who am I to blow against the wind?"

I Know What I Know, Paul Simon, another one from Graceland. Rockage. [livejournal.com profile] nzlemming

6. And I find it kind of funny,
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had...

Gary Jules, Mad World (From the Donnie Darko soundtrack) [livejournal.com profile] sarahgeek again

7. Somebody could walk into this room
And say "your life is on fire"
it's all over the evening news
All about the fire in your life on the evening news.

Paul Simon, Crazy Love Volume II, [livejournal.com profile] chattycheese. As [livejournal.com profile] nzlemming mentions, this is a fucking fantastic album. Graceland.

8. Vengeance was his and he gave me back my life.
Damned if I'll live in the debt of a thief!
Damned if I'll yield at the end of the chase
I am the law, and the law is not mocked!

Stars, Javert's soliloquy from Les Miserables, [livejournal.com profile] disturbed_kiwi

9. Cup of coffee and a packet of cigarettes
Up late, 'cause lectures don't start yet
Bowl of Weet-Bix and a plate of bacon and eggs,
Sunday morning going to do it all again.

Elemeno P, Every Day's a Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] cabaiste84. Good band! :D

10. And after it rains, there's a rainbow
And all of the colours are black
It's not that the colours aren't there
It's just imagination they lack

11. Blood loss in a bathroom stall
A southern girl with a scarlet drawl

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Scar Tissue. [livejournal.com profile] cabaiste84

12. Light the sky and hold on tight
the world is burning down
She's out there on her own and she's alright

Shawn Colvin, Sunny Came Home- I'm so in love with this song. [livejournal.com profile] cabaiste84

13. And the train is gone suddenly
On wheels clicking silently
Like a gently tapping litany
And he holds his crayon rosary
Tighter in his hand

14. Cinderella said to Snow White,
How does love get so off course?
All I wanted was a white knight
With a good heart, soft touch, fast horse

This Kiss, by Faith Hill, [livejournal.com profile] chattycheese. I feel so... unfeminist.

15. But no customer would come to you
Unless she were a hooker!

Beauty School Dropout, from Grease. [livejournal.com profile] sennical. :D

16. I'm counting stars
Lying under
Watching you through my walls

Bic Runga's Bursting Through, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] jo_nzl

17. War bellows blazing in scarlet battalions
Generals order their soldiers to kill
And to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten

Scarborough Fair/Canticle by Simon and Garfunkel, [livejournal.com profile] nzlemming

18. If I speak, I am condemned
If I stay silent, I am damned

Who Am I, Valjean's soliloquy from Les Miserables, [livejournal.com profile] disturbed_kiwi

19. *amused* I'm not even going to try for this one.
So no-one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job's a joke, you're broke,
Your lovelife's DOA
It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year..
(snip)
You're still in bed at ten
And work began at eight.
You burned your breakfast, so far
Things are going great.
Your mother warned you there'd be days like these...

The Rembrandts, I'll Be There For You (The Friends themetune!) [livejournal.com profile] sarahgeek

20. The band begins to go to town
And everyone goes crazy
You rock-a-bye your baby 'round
And sleep all day.

21. So take the photographs and still-frames in your mind...
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while

Good Riddance(Time of Your Life) by Greenday, [livejournal.com profile] disturbed_kiwi and [livejournal.com profile] sennical who got the title right. ;)

22. I read the news today, oh boy
4000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall

The Beatles, A Day In The Life. GREAT song. [livejournal.com profile] chattycheese

23. We must try to shake it down
Do our best to break the ground
Try to turn the world around
One more time
Whoa, where do you go
When you don't want no-one to know?

Cat Stevens, Tuesday's Dead. Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] megaffe, totally, totally unsurprisingly. :D

24. How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Try hard not to laugh, though I feel bad

Barenaked Ladies, One Week. [livejournal.com profile] sennical picked this one. Hee, that's a damn crazy song and I love it.

25. Keep it up home, girl
Don't you quit, you know
the way you scream, it's the ultimate
And if I walk away
Just watch the clock
I bet I don't even get around the block.

*bored*

Also, Shihad's Home Again is pretty much the soundtrack of my life right now.

That first one is one of Stables' ripoffs, isn't it? Eminem's Without Me? But I can never remember titles...XD

6. Mad World, isn't it? Gary Jules?

19. The Rembrandts.

It's Without Me: The Helen Clark Remix.

Which is the fucking funniest thing ever.

Yes, and yes. ;D You didn't title that last one, though...

Haha. Helen not attractive, what are you on about? ;) I was once led to believe that someone whom I knew vaguely wanted to have an affair with her. Said person claimed it was blown out of proportion, but then again that is something you would deny saying, particularly if you happen to be a heterosexual female. I guess Helen just exudes that gender-bending power-politics vibe. Yeah. Sure.

No 16 is Bursting Through by Bic, I think.

8. Stars from Les Mis.
18. also from Les Mis, but I can't name it. Who Am I? Brilliant piece though.

Waitaminute 21. Time of your Life by Green Day, brilliant song.

2. Sixpense None The Richer- Kiss Me
7. Paul Simon- Crazy Love Vol. 2
14. Faith Hill- This Kiss

22. The Beatles- A Day in the Life

::feels accomplished::

...I really need to spend less time listening to music ;D

15. Beauty School Dropout, Grease
My eighth grade girls choir sang this at a concert once, and we had to change that lyric to "Unless you came and took her." Which is really stupid and rather hilarious sounding.

21. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), Green Day
24. One Week, Barenaked Ladies

I should have informed you that I'm no good with titles unless I own the songs in question! :P

Which means you should totally find a legal way to send Without Me to me, 'cause I love that song with the fire of a thousand burning suns...heheh

Is 9 an Elemeno P song? I just recognise the lyrics.

Also, so much Johnny Depp and Josh Holloway love. Just *drools*
I did a speech about Johnny Depp once. It was very successful. Because who doesn't like teh pretteh?
Scarlet Johansen, not so much for me, although she was lovely in Lost in Translation. The Island put me off so bad.

17 is the Canticle part from Scarborough Fair/Canticle - Simon and Garfunkel

11- RHCP, "Scar Tissue"
12- Shawn Colvin, "Sunny came home"

Those are the only ones I know...I might just have to do this one again!

In regards to the celebrities, I can't say I'm that fond of Kirsten Dunst. She is gorgeous and she can act, but I've never really been drawn to the characters she plays. Really hated her character in "Wimbledon" especially.
Johnny Depp and Tobey Maguire=teh delish! *drool*

Well, I know, her characters aren't always... I don't know. I usually really like the leading men she acts with- Tobey Maguire, obviously, but also I'm a big Paul Bettany fan, I think he's awesome. So I think I associate her with them, as well. Plus, she's gorgeous and she can act- double-plus points on my list.

I did like her in "Mona Lisa Smile", even though her character was simply repulsive. Maybe it was the feminist in me...*shrug* Good movie, but could have been better, IMNSHO. And who remembers her in "Little Women"?! So adorable...hehe!
Paul Bettany...yes, I agree, v. awesome and rather yummolicious as well! Look a little like Chris Martin, I reckon. I'm just such a sucker for British men, I can't help it! *swoon*

She played Betty Warren, the one who had the huge big wedding, and the mother from hell, and her husband ended up cheating on her, and she was opposed to Julia Roberts' character, as she thought her teaching too radical, and was taking her students from from "the roles the were born to fill" as women...*sticks finger down throat*. She played it well, I must say.

Yeah, Julia Stiles' character was a little bland. My fave movie with her in it is "Save the last dance", that's a gorgeous movie, during which I bawled my eyes out several times! Maggie Gyllenhaal is brilliant...she actually looks a lot like someone who was at CH with me.

Awww, "Little Women" is awesome! Old school Winona Ryder, baby! And a very young and rather scrumptious Christian Bale...mmmm...

Pardon the fangirling. *ahem*

By the way, I know you didn't tag me, but I was thinking today about who my ten hottest celebs (guys and girls) are, and I've come up with a very definite list! So I think I'll be posting them next time! :D
