If you have time...
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.
Also: I forgot yesterday to sya anything about Green MP Rod Donald's death, but I am saddened by the loss a man genuinely sincere about caring for the environment and the people who live in it, and changing the way New Zealanders treat the country. :(

Date: 2005-11-07 01:28 am (UTC)Once you were cooking squash, I think, for dinner. It was late for me, around midnight, so my room was cold and dark with my laptop gleaming harshly, but I kept thinking--I'm talking to somebody who's sitting in the afternoon sunlight, making dinner. I still remember that time as if I were the one waiting for the vegetables to finish cooking. I don't know why.
I remember the one picture I ever saw of you, much younger. You sent the link, pointed yourself out, and instantly regretted it.
I remember you were so kind to me when I knew nothing (or at least much more nothing than I do now) and called me friend at a time in my life when I badly needed someone to.
Huh. I guess that technically counts as more than one memory, but all that's sort of mixed up in the back of my head when I think of you.

Date: 2005-11-07 02:00 am (UTC)They're all YW-centric (I wonder why....)
I think the coolest one was when I realized that I had my first totally online friend, and how utterly awesome that was. (That, and how totally cool my new friend was ;D)
I'd say it's a toss up between the above and all the conspiring we did whilst starting the Playroom. "As long as no money changes hands"....hee.

Date: 2005-11-07 04:48 am (UTC)I remember listening to you play your viola beautifully at your last Christmas do. And then making you believe that I had been playing cello for 8 years without telling anyone. Shut up. I'm not a loser. Fine. Humph.
