Is it plumb ridiculous to be mildly upset that I just got spoiled for the song played at the beginning of tonight's SPN? Yes?

Yes, OK, yes.

In other music news, in honour of NZ music month, last night I reupped all the Bic Runga rarities and B-sides that I have in my collection here. There are a few new ones, so if you're desperately interested in maintaining your collection, let me know if you want one or two upped separately. (I only have three remixes to go and I'm complete! So if anyone has Interstellar Over Drive remix, Bursting Through (Acoustic Mix) or Something Good (Submariner Mix)... um.)

Also, yesterday I spent very little money to get Stellar*'s Magic Line and The Paul Simon Songbook, the former of which I grabbed because I don't know Stellar* very well, and the latter of which I grabbed because the back of it said that it had "A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or, How I Was Robert McNamara'd Into Submission)". BUT it was a LIE, because it was really (Or, How I was Lyndon Johnson'd Into Submission." Which is different! It's the earlier, Paul-solo version of what would be a Simon & Garfunkel tune on Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. Which, by the way, is an awesome, awesome album.

I have probably mentioned that, as a teenager, I was a freaking huge S&G fan, and basically thought Paul Simon could do no wrong lyrically, ever. I can qualify that now, but I still think he's pretty fucking awesome, so, here: Some Simon solo/ S&G Songs I Have Loved Or That Are Otherwise Relevant. Not even most of my favourites, of course, but what can you do.

I been Ayn Randed, nearly branded Communist, cause I'm left-handed. That's the hand I use - well, never mind. )
