You know, voting for Kerry is NOT "leftist." it's just "not hardcore rightist"/"rightist, but with a sensible foreign policy"/"I hate Bush" and so on. I wish people would quit with this stuffed up idea Kerry is leftist. I mean, Kerry actually feels the need to talk about his stance on abortion. Any self-respecting leftist would have left it as a given.

It's fun to watch the Bush camp claim that Kerry is "far left of the mainstream" when I see him just as you put it. In any event, they're all reformists and out of touch with the proletariat.

Well, in the US liberal means a social liberal, whilst in the rest of the world it means an economic liberal, ie a capitalist.
