sixth_light and amphibious_one yesterday. :D I'm kinda proud that I managed to recognise her from her frog shirt. ;) It was really cool, actually- not the first time I've met someone I hadn't before, but hasn't broken my perfect, un-stalked un-attacked record yet. (That's out of, um, four so far. Am I suicidal, or something?) Anyway, we wandered around Christchurch talking and doing great tourist things LIKE, TOTAL HIGHLIGHT, climbing the Cathedral Tower which was SO COOL. $1.50 and so worth it, people, although not if you're claustrophobic; you have to climb one bajillion flights of stairs inside this really narrow stairwell, which was super-cool but also a little freaky, and also a fear of heights would totally not be a good thing; some of the flights of stairs were basically ladders, and even the main staircase was steep enough to freak me out a teensy tiny bit (I have a fear of height that chooses to hit at the most unusual times, so I was pretty much fine on top of the tower looking out the balcony, but had slight issues with the stairs. But nevertheless, SUCH a cool staircase!)
We also went to the Arts centre and wandered through and saw Rutherford's Den, which was also totally awesome and put me in mind of the Maritime Centre in Wellington: the coolest little holograms and surprises plus being really informative in a fun way. May your donkey explode, and stuff. (points for reference. >:D) All museums should be like that.
Emma seems really cool- of course, I say that knowing she's going to read this. ;) But still, really nice! :) We talked some about her trip plans (sounding SO cool) and basically it was an EXCELLENT afternoon. <3
