Mar. 15th, 2005 12:12 pmWe had a bomb scare at Uni yesterday.
That's all, really. :)
Oh, wait, no, funny story (which will only amuse, like,
megaffe and maybe Cat if she's reading.)
So Muneya had a call from some mate of his in an Auckland hall last night, and he spent about five hours talking to this guy. But the point is, he happened to be in a Hall with a couple of people from school- Margaret, and Jess, and Jenni. So I kept getting asked "Hey, do you know x?" I therefore had an amusing conversation with Lewis Bollard and a less-funny one with Margaret, because he went and woke her up- I'm not sure why; & now I feel kind of guilty but oh well. Anyway, then I ended up talking to Muneya's friend for five or so minutes, and Muneya had told him to hassle me about politics so, er, he was. He was asking me about my politics and stuff, and basically I said to him "Okay, you know Jenni, right? I'm exactly like her, but left wing."
He somehow interpreted this into asking "Oh, so you're bi."
"Um... well, yeah."
*snort* Apparently Jenni has been having issues in Auckland... I feel like I need to email her... anyway... he then got on to Muneya and, er, told him? *headdesk* I was able to interpret this because Muneya started talking about this Shakespeare quote I stuck on my door- the beginning of the Queen Mab speech. Apparently this is Mercutio's come on to Romeo. I would like to mention that I didn't know this when I stuck this on the door- English-geek-but-totally-not-a-geek-Tom brought it up. *eyeroll* So anyway.
He was really nice about it, actually. He kind of kept going "Far, that's crazy" and laughing, but, er, more in a surprised way than in a bad way, I think. So it's good, sort of, I think. *shrug*
This story got totally sidetracked, it was meant to be about Jenni and Lewis Bollard and, hey, apparently Tom McCarthy's in Melbourne, so I guess that means you're not suffering him, Meggie? And Margaret's going into cancer research, which is really cool, and Lewis, totally 200% predictably, is doing Politics, Economics and Philsophy.
So, Lewis, what do you want to be when you grow up? ;)
That's all, really. :)
