So my mother is away in Bangkok for the week, so I'm doing a lot of the domestic clean-and-cook stuff lately. As I said to [livejournal.com profile] gianp earlier this evening, it's a rather frightening insight into married life... :P

The thing is, it's frightening not so much because I hate as because... I'm kind of enjoying myself? It's relaxing, easy, kind of pleasant, plus I get to bake cakes and I don't have to think about anything taxing.

Yeah, I'm disturbed too...

Anyway, I'm also in a SILLY MEME MOOD. So the ten TV show meme!

1. List ten TV shows that you really like (current or past)

2. Get your flist to guess your favourite character for each.

3. Write a sentence about why they're your favourite character.

1. Lost- Hurley, [livejournal.com profile] sennical :D I like Hurley a lot. Yes, he's tremendously overweight and doesn't appear to have lost a kilogram since landing on a desert island but, Sara, I don't care: he is funny, and clever, and is the only person on the island with good priorities, also, a brain. (See: Golf, also manifesto. See also: Dealing with Sawyer.)
2. Scrubs
3. Bro'Town- Vale, [livejournal.com profile] disturbed_kiwi. I like Vale 'cause he's funny but not totally dumb; also, I'm giving Aaron this one because Cathy and Heathcliff are only my favourites because of their names anyway, and they'd be impossible to guess. ;)
4. Malcolm in the Middle
5. CSI: Miami- I will guess that [livejournal.com profile] disturbed_kiwi here means Horatio, who is cool because he kicks butt in an understated, gorgeous-voice way.
6. Angels in America (I know, cheat, miniseries. Shut up.)
7. Serial Killers!!!
8. Friends- Ross, [livejournal.com profile] sennical. :D I don't know why I like him, I just... so geeky! But sweet! And funny. And occasionally rally annoying, when he's being totally dumb, but most of the time I just really love him. :D
9. Jake: 2.0
10. Uh... Tru Calling?!

Hey, random spammage of your LJ here...but I found my way here through the new(est?) civil unions in NZ community and discovered, lo and behold, I enjoy reading your journal! That said, mind if I add you to my friends? I make no promises about the quality of my journal, no promises at all - but if it's all good then I suppose I should forewarn you to get ready for moments of superficiality, untelligence, and, relatively frequently, emotional turmoil, interspersed with episodic mental depth. What say ye?

Besides, emotional turmiol is fun to watch! Ahh, teen angst, my love-hate OTP...

Well, we have these wonderful things called books. She's doing better than I could; I doubt if I could name five favourite shows. And to make five one would be Murder She Wrote, which stopped being shown...how long ago?

I have plenty of books. I just don't do enough schoolwork and housework I guess.

1. Definitely my second-favourite character. My first-favourite is kind of difficult to guess. :p

2. Also definitely my second-favourite ;)

4. Ditto

5. D'you mean Horatio? He's not actually blonde...

6. Um, no

7. AHAHA, it's actually this NZ show about screenwriters for a long-running soap "Heart of Hearts". Shortland Street spoof much? It was totally fabulously hilarious and I loved it and I can't actually remember any of the character's names but it SO should have run a second series. (The funniest thing may have been that prtty much all the actors in it had at one point been on SS themselves.... some of them for quite a long time....

8. Nope!

9. Nope!

10. Nope! :D

5. I dunno, I like seeing some of the twisted ways people died on the show but don't give two shakes for the characters. It's like watcvhing Final Destination sometimes.

Have you seen that? Great schlock horror surprise gore movie. I laughed the whoel way through/

7. Oh yes, I meant to watch the, but never did. Did it get canned huh?

Yeah, it is. That's why some of those shows are pretty old.

And I have two NZ shows on there and we have to support NZ On Air.
