An excuse for a post:
May. 4th, 2005 05:22 pmFor most of the world, by now, it's 04/05/05. Or, possibly, 05/04/05. It's not really relevant.
The important thing is: May the Fourth be with you.
(say it out loud if you don't get it the first time. ;) Happy International Star Wars Day.)

Date: 2005-05-04 07:02 am (UTC)OK, story is: Greg interviewed for a job as training manager and got it, so now he's at Courtenay Place being trained up by Jamie (not our Jamie, the one from Courtenay Place...duh, self). So anyway, he's being trained up for a month over there, and we were supposed to get Courtenay Place's 2IC, Mel, while he's away. Except she's all stubborn and rude and refuses to do anything except office work, so it was subtly arranged that Emma from Cable Car Lane would come to help us out while Mel went to help Jason at Cable Car Lane (because I guess he doesn't mind if she does office work all the time, as opposed to Carla, who doesn't think it's fair that Mel should get to pick what she WANTS to do in her job - I agree, btw, mainly because that would have meant I'd have to serve ALL. THE. TIME.) But anyway, Emma's been 2IC at CCL for about 2 years now, but apparently she's not all trained up in the office work, so Carla is training her up while she's here, and I'M being trained up in office work too, so maybe when Greg is finished training and goes off to manage somewhere then I can move up a step :P

Date: 2005-05-04 07:10 am (UTC)But I totally know exactly what you mean about Greg and boss-thing... I mean he was technically 2IC anyway (stupidest abbreviation ever, by the way, I think I've already mentioned this but it bears repeating... :P) but he sort of felt more... bossy than Rose used to, and stuff.. :P

Date: 2005-05-04 07:15 am (UTC)That's right, I knew he got that! Or I knew he interviewed for it and was pretty sure he'd get it, or something. :) But, crrrazy Mel-person. :p serving ALL THE TIME wouldn't be toooo bad, although office work would prolly be better because you don't have to deal with Customers. And we all know
Heh, yeah- I hope you do! Pay hike, too. :P (BTW, did that payhike that was supposed to come through inm like... January... ever come? *amused*)
