Witch Week was the first DWJ I read, and it remains my favorite. I liked the ending because it bridged the gap between "magic life" and "real life," in that the same passion and witchery of magicworkers could be applied to things that we know we can do.

I mean, of course it was also clever, and we do appreciate the cleverness. Her books are the most cerebral YA fantasy I've encountered. Hexwood, at the extreme, totally exceeded my capacity to understand plot.
