PARODY. :P Light-hearted but, you know. Awesome. :D Also not terribly biased.

KeepLeftNZ
Tidy, new, pro-Left site pointing out advantages of the left. non-party specific but obviously left-biased. I think [livejournal.com profile] miriamus and [livejournal.com profile] absent should be paying particular attention. ;)

because [livejournal.com profile] absent wants a NZ1st/National coalition and I'm not sure what [livejournal.com profile] miriamus wants but at the moment she could go either way but probably right. Which seems like exactly the sort of person I should be pointing in that direction in the hope I could tilt them over onto my side. :)

I saw a poll recently that asked people who they would voite for and who they would like to see that party work with.

Labour/Greens/Progressive/Alliance types all went in together.

Act went with National and viceversa.

But NZ First voters said they wanted to see Winston go with Labour, not National.

I found this amusing and utterly foolish of them.

I always like to hear why people want to vote for the other side. care to ask them or point them my way?

We're an ACT household, but I'm apolitical. I just love getting really, really angry.

By the way I really hope that website is a joke. I don't remember the last time I saw something so childish and stupid. I have to listen to my mum's lectures on the subjct every single day, it'll take a lot more than just SAYING that left wing parties are good for the economy to make me believe you. I've had enough English and Philosophy classes to know that "Me right! That wrong!" isn't a good argument for ANYTHING.

Umm, isn't the experience of the country's economy doing well good? And the way things fell during the rogernomics stuff?

For example, GDP measurements (http://www.keepleftnz.org/keepleft1.html) as seen on that site (did you actually look into it?)

Of other interest are:
Economy thats good for people. (http://www.keepleftnz.org/keepleft2.html)
Government treating people the same (http://www.keepleftnz.org/keepleft3.html), not judging them on silly things. Get back to me on the smacking thing though...
Don Brash difficult to determine exactly what he wants. (http://www.keepleftnz.org/norightturn3.html)
Strangely ready to judge people on personal moral codes. (http://www.keepleftnz.org/norightturn5.html)

Seriously, you act as though you saw the front page and decided not to read it. Give it a chance eh?

I did. But there's only about three sentences on each page. What's the point?

Ummm.... did you click the links- like ONE- next to the statements on, for example, the "Why we're good" page? Because there's support under those links. It's not like they're asking you to take it on faith or anything. ;)

As far as I'm concerned, the most childish and stupid things I've seen lately are ACT supporter's economic policies, that is, "I want my freaking money! And I don't want to give it to anyone else! And I don't give a damn if they're starving! And also, we don't need tax to support our government! Nuh-uh! Stoopid Labour!"

So, you know. it's all a matter of opinion, isn't it?

Indeed. I think all the parties are broken records actually. Some of them are saying "tax cuts! tax cuts!", some of them are saying "eewww, foreigners!", most of them are saying "your all gay!1!1!!1!one".... etc.

Did you do the topic on racism in French last year? I really think French election campaigns are like that too.

No, we did... actually, hang on, yes we did. I forgot it because we did it way back at the beginning of last year. :-/ it kind of makes me sad how racist everyone is. Jeeze.
