Guess who's back?
Nov. 4th, 2004 08:03 amYou know I hate to follow the crowd. But I wanted to talk about this a bit.
1. The Election.
I really, really do not want to live in a world where that man is running that country. In fact I am afraid to do so. I don't think that Americans living within the United States can really understand why I'm saying this: the United States have become their own, personal world. They don't have to live with the consequences of Bush's foreign policy, the consequences of Bush's creation of a world where September 11 is likely to happen again, and again, and again. I do. I don't know whether Kerry would have done better, but the whole atmosphere which re-elected Bush makes me physically sick: in two parts, the Christian Conservative vote and the War on Terror vote. I'll leave the Christians alone, because I don't like the way I talk about them, but the War on Terror vote? THINK ABOUT IT, PEOPLE. YOU CANNOT FIGHT A WAR ON A NOUN, ON AN EMOTION. TERROR IS NOT GOING TO BRING AN ARMY ON TO THE FIELD. TERROR LIVES IN PEOPLE, AND IT LIVES IN MORE PEOPLE EVERY DAY AS A CONSEQUENCE OF BUSH'S ACTIONS. That is just the way it is. Ypou guys may feel more safe after Afghanistan and Iraq- but is it worth knowing that you are letting the rest of the world go hang? I don't know, I guess my life and the life of people in countries outside American just aren't important to the Republican vote.
2. It's my last full day of school today. I don't know whether to be ecstatic or miserable, but today's general atmosphere has pretty much guaranteed miserable. *sigh*
