Okay. I'm sending out my annual plea, because it's five days till Christmas and I haven't bought even one present. >.< I don't know what ANY of them are going to be (except Catherine's, because she's getting chocolate, obviously.) So in traditional style, I'm going to plead:

What do I get two boys, aged 14 and nearly-16, for Christmas?

I don't want to get them balls again (As in Cricket- and soccer-, oh ye of dirty minds) and I can't think of any good books, although recommendations in this area too would be well-met. Budget is fairly limited but not EXTREMELY so. No computer games, and I just got Hedley the first Sandman collection for his birthday so don't say Gaiman. Um. I really need help with this. Boys are impossible to buy for.

Also, of course, I need to know RIGHT NOW what you want, Meg. RIGHT NOW. And what to get Janie and Claire. (Small stuff I think.) And, and, who else do I need stuff for? OMG FREYA. What do you get an eleven-year-old girl who, well, needs to lose a little weight (ie not books, games or chocolate)? Um, elastics? Knucklebones? Many of the above?

cut for familybabble, mostly for my own reference )

Also.

I think it really, fully shows how totally chickenshit am that Scary Movie III scares me.

I mean, really.

I know why it is, though- I can't cope with suspense and tension, and what scary movie does is it elaborates tension using horror film ripoffs, and then makes you laugh by breaking the tension absurdly- btu I hate it so much I, um, leave the room before it gets funny.

Okay, okay, I'm a wimp.
