Okay, people, this is important:

IF ANY OF YOU HAVE E-MAILED ME WITHIN THE LAST, SAY, WEEK AT birdheadnz@hotmail.com, I HAVE NOT GOT IT NOR WILL I EVER GET ANY FURTHER EMAILS SENT THERE. Okay? So if you have e-mailed me, and I know several people have, PLEASE check your outbox and send it again to either labellementeuseNOSPAM@gmail.com or labellementeuseNOSPAM@hotmail.com.

birdheadnz will remain my MSN account, though. I guess this is what happens to hotmail accounts after they've been running for a couple of years. Bloody useless accounts (although on the other hand I'll take MSN over, say, Yahoo! any day. God Yahoo is a drag.)

... I was opening mail last night, all the late Christmas cards, and I opened one and this was its return address:

(blah blah)
Jakarta
INDONESIA

I basically collapsed. >.< it was from my ex-aunt Val and my cousins Hamish and Josie, who were all in Indonesia (where Val lives) for Christmas, and therefore Boxing Day. And, and, well basically I got shit-scared and rang my mother, who told me she'd been about to ring me- apparently they'd had a telephone call from the Herald asking if they knew that they were missing, or something.

Apparently they made a lot of calls and they're all okay, they're fine, but... Jesus, I could really have done without that kind of heart-attack. So many people died in Jakarta that they stopped counting.

Hmm!

So I and [livejournal.com profile] sixth_light just met [livejournal.com profile] gianp and his mate Scott. :D

it was actually pretty cool, although short because he only rang me at, like, half-past five and I needed to, um, shower and get dressed (when you aren't planning on leaving the house, these things happen, okay??!), but I saw him anyway. :p It was fun, in a deliriously talk-a-lot-because-if-you-stop-maybe-no-one-will-be-able-to-think-of-something-to-say way. So, yes, we chatted quite a bit, about what he did for NY, what I did for NY (strangely, the common factor was alcohol. Amazing.) We also drove around- well, Scott drove and the rest of us sat. He was pretty much exactly wat I expected-maybe a litle bit shorter- except for the accent, which was wierdly English, for an American New Zealander... perhaps that's just what you get when you mix American and New Zealand? (it was funny, I didn't know if I was going to see him or not but I was half-expecting a phonecall all day- he said he'd MSN me but then he left and I was pretty sure he wouldn't have any internet access, so it was pretty much the only way we were going to get in touch- and so I was kinda jumping at phone calls all day and then he rang and I totally knew it was him. :p I am so psychic. Anyway, I noticed the accent then, although it was more pronounced when we actually met.)

So anyway, that was fun! The rest of the day was totally boring though, except I started re-reading harry potter and the Legacy of the Light, this great novel-length HP/Dark is Rising crossover. (pre-OotP, fifth year fic, by Gramarye) And I tidied up a bit, grrrroooan.

ETA: ALSO! I was just reading the TV stuff and apparently Destiny TV is on at helf-past two tomorrow morning- and it's R-rated. Excuse me, family values?!
