Some news about something Sony CDs are apparently doing: when you play a Sony CD on your computer it apparently installs software onto your computer to stop you doing all kinds of stuff with it, in a way that also makes your computer more vulnerable.

Um, yeah. Don't buy Sony. :P

Christmas Card post!

All the cool people are doing this... so, NZ Post has a deal where it's really cheap to send early Christmas cards overseas. And I want to be organised this year and, you know, actually send some, so if you want a Christmas card from New Zealand (or from, you know, down the road if you're a Kiwi :P) Comment here with postal addresses! :D All welcome.

So, who else is watching the Yuletide Fandom List with increasing glee as requested fandoms get highlighted? (Requested fandoms will not necessarily be written for, but might be.) Someone requested Tale of the Five! Now I'm so glad I suggested it as an obscure fandom (but, boy, I so do not envy anyone who ends up writing it, if someone does. It would really not be on my writeable list.) And I know at least one person who requested YW. :D

I am absolutely going to do NYR this year, I think. I forgot this year... yeah, yeah, I know. Slack. But I'm not feeling guilty because it was a busy year and stuff, plus I forgot you needed to doone to qualify for Yuletide this year.
