fandom_counts, created in order to get a kind of fannish headcount, find out how many livejournals are fannish, with the notion of using that to back up arguments with LJ. Fairly obviously, this is only effective if most of fandom decides to play, so I'm not sure how well it's going to work; I also don't think it will help much in debate with LJ, at least over the latest issue, since from what I've read the group who complained only got LJ to do the deleting by pointing out that interests were used as networking tools and consequently certain interests allowed networking by people who might actually go out and commit the crimes (it wasn't just fannish comms and journals deleted: in fact it mostly seems to be rl groups and possibly genuine paedophiles; so I think there's a little too much outrage going around.) It's worth noting that the groups had previously gotten a pretty firm refusal from LJ to delete because of content. But, anyway, I joined.
fandompays, trying to estimate how much is spent on fannish journals and how much is likely to be lost because people consider moving away.
fanarchive, created in response to the fanlib thing last week (a summary if you missed it); the notion is to create a pan-fandom fic archive that improves on LJ as a host for fiction.
