Friendly advice: dye your hair. DO EET NOW. Brassy red, chestnut brown, black, blue and green stripes for all I care, just... change it. As an added bonus, throw out all your whites. I LIKE YOU AND I DO NOT WANT YOU TO GO.

Dear Kripke,
OMG what is your ISSUE with BLONDE WOMEN? HOLY CRAP, YOU'RE NOT EVEN TRYING TO HIDE IT. HAVE WE EVEN HAD A BRUNETTE VICTIM EVER? (excluding Angela because she became the bad guy. Which is funny because IMO Neil should really have been the bad guy - Angela didn't ask to be raised, but whatevs.) DID A BLONDE STEAL YOUR CANDYBAR WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE, HUH, HUH?
Still lots of love,
Me
Okay, AWESOME episode. I've liked Jo all season and I've even liked Jo/Dean because, well, they're hot and I'm shallow. (Don't EVEN give me crap about this, I KNOW where wincest comes from. Also, a significant fraction of this show's ratings.) But this episode TOTALLY sold me on Jo, completely 100% FILLED ME WITH LOVE. I was actually really, really impressed with Alona Tal in this episode, I thought she made Jo's reactions believable without being overdramatic - Jo was clearly totally shaken and unhappy even when she was stabbing the creepy bastard's hand, which I thought was excellently done. And - dare I say? - I thought she and Dean even had a fair amount of chemistry, which pleases me - the cute scene with the phone convo of course. I was also actually really pleased with the scenes where they were all angsty bonding; I think they made the parallels and similarities evident without being SLEDGEHAMMER about them - I mean, they weren't subtle, but they were I think really well done.
Re: Sam not being around: look, I didn't even notice this til I went to click around El Jay, and now that I have noticed I still don't think it's a problem. Someone said that it was a great opportunity to see Dean without Sam and I think that's really true, because Sam's presence warps Dean's character, like some black hole of characterisation, and it was great to see Dean without that. I did miss the brotherly moments but I think this was an episode that was really designed to do some vital things with Jo's character in order to establish relationships for later on in the season - and you know you'd rather have a Sam-lite episode early in the season rather than late.
GOD, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS, TELL ME ABOUT HOW JO IS SO FUCKING HOT. PICTORIAL EVIDENCE IS A-OK.
OKAY, COOKING NOW.
