Happy birthday, Shortland Street!
OK, OK. I've never seen a whole episode in my life and I'm proud of that fact, but the 15th birthday celebrations on TV2 at the moment are endlessly entertaining. Clips of Rachel Hunter in absolutely ghastly hair! Temuera Morrison looking... about as old fifteen years ago as he does now! The red carpet was funny in a creepy way, with Megan Alatini wandering around looking TERRIFYING (fake fur. Um, I hope. Fringe slicked to her forehead?)
-- aside: Shortland Street used to be the second biggest user of paper in the country - next to the Government only. It's since gone green and is now the only drama with a carbon-zero rating.
it's also the fastest shot television show in the world. And, um, as my flatmate said: you can tell.
*crying* omg theatresports. oh my god, please let this go up on youtube: two guys telling a story in one word each, about doctor ropata returning to guatemala on a donkey. Except they derailed into "he went to see his wife Beth, and said to her, 'make me some eggs or I'll [something something] Sue Bradford!"
God, Chris in the very first episode (the famous aerobic sex scene) looks SO much like Robert Chase. Seriously!
