Well, I didn't get the internship, which sucks; however, I was their second choice, which sucks a lot less (because apparently there's pretty heavy competition for these things). I had a pretty hardcore and frightening interview which actually went really really well, and the woman who rang me said blah blah, someone else just a bit more qualified: which might just be what they say to make me feel better, I don't know, but I generally feel pretty positive anyway.
This might be because I have had kind of a weird week. My wallet magically fell out of my bag on the street while I was walking last Friday, no idea how; on Wednesday it magically showed up in campus security with all the cash and cards and book vouchers still in it. I left my cell charger in Wellington; I tried to buy one last night, only to find that a) they cost $50 and b) none of the stores within walking distance have one. Then I figured out that, kind of like my ipod, the USB cord that hooks it up to my laptop will also charge it. I left my vital textbook behind and ended up having to buy a new one; but when I got home my old one was sitting on the doorstep having been couriered down, and I was able to return the new one for credit. Our internet got capped; but it's only two days until the end of the month.
So really, the last week's been bizarre but overall not too bad: I'm calling it a win. *thumbs up*
