I'm in the shade of the washing, reading
A Pair of Scissors by Sharon Thesen and
the phone goes and I don't answer it
even though it might be the plumber,
Pete, or the builder, Steve.
Then the oven timer goes and I put a white stone
on the page -- don't go away Sharon
I'll be right back
after checking on Louise.
