Absolute agreement! Though I think you could say more about Titty. To me she always seems to be somewhere in between Susan and nancy. She has Nancy's independence, and fierceness, but tempered by Susan's more maternal, nurturing aspect.
That is one thing that I've come to appreciate more and more about Ransome, though as i got older, that each girl had her own seperate personality, not just "the tomboy" and "the little mommy".
