labellementeuseI have written one scene of my Yuletide fic. It is over a thousand words.
Pros:
- Hey, it's over the word limit already!
Cons:
- So much fucking exposition, jesus.
- ONE SCENE and it's OVER A THOUSAND WORDS I do NOT HAVE TIME to write something epic this year, ffff.
- If this is going to not be revoltingly boring, I'm going to need a plot. FML.

Date: 2011-12-03 02:19 am (UTC)I think my Yuletide fic is, wonder of wonders, going to be reasonably short this year, but my Yuletide-writing self of years past has plenty of empathy for this particular situation. I have faith in your ability to make it not-too-epic and plenty interesting. :)

The trouble is that my idea is, tbh, not that interesting and a lot like existing both a) fics in the fandom and b) other original novels that I adore and I'm really flailing around about making it original and IC. Sigh.
