"He did not answer me. Such was his power that he did not even consider (replying)."  From the exciting and scandalous The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory.

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
A painting by Pippa Sanderson, who lives up the road. I like the painting. Picture here.

5:34

Um, the Spice girls on the playlist, and my mother opening mail.

Um, I came in only about half an hour ago. before that stepping out of the Island Bay Medical Centre, where I went for a doctor's appointment.

My school uniform. shudder. Tights, long blue skirt, floppy blue shirt, gold tie.

10: Did you dream last night?
*shrug* I never remember.

11: When did you last laugh?
Ah... I laughed at Esther in History today, because we were talking abou the end of the Civil war, whn they beheaded Charles, and she was all "You ruined the end of the story for me!"

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Said painting, three other paintings two of which are by Lloyd who used to live up the road and one of which is by...umm, Wendy. Also, a matching pair of clay sclupted cabbage tree and fern (v pretty) plus protriding form one wall this.. it'sl like a scultpure... it's kinda like the prow of a waka. Also, our speakers, this wierd modern art "painting" by Kon who used to live in the next street, and lights. You can see the waka here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/LaBelleMenteuse/waka.jpg 'cause it's pretty.

19: Do you like to dance?
Of course!!!!!

20: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?
he's neither. He's just stupid. But that stupidity, which in a businessman or an ordinary job, would just be annoying, has been transcended into a criminal flaw by his position.

21a: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her? Mmmm.... Amiria. Or Katrina. Oh, ooh, Xiao-Mei. Or Elena. or Amelie. Mm.

21b: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him? Hiroaki! Or Daffyd.

22: Would you ever consider living abroad?
Of course! In fact I plan on it, a year in about a zillion different cities... NYC, London, Tokyo, Paris (or tours)... oh yeah baby. Sydney. I'll either have to marry someone who does a lot of travelling, or get a job where I can do so myself. :D

Also, I'm writing a Scholarship (ie gotta be super-deep-and-clever) on that "What is abhorrent or disturbing in real life can be interesting or entertaining in literature," and I started off with Gattaca and The Matrix, and while I was writing the first paragraph I realised that I could write about twenty pages on scifi. So i might narrow it down to that, though it's actually a borad-reading question... I mean, apart from those there's The Giver Colony The Handmaid's Tale 1984 Pattern Recognition Snow Crash (okay, the last two are a push)... all those utopia/dystopias... The Monstrous Regiment... Mmm, Asimov, SO MUCH Asimov... AI ... Ray Bradbury's thing about the nursery, can't remember the name- i think it was Sahvanna or something...  ooh, think about neil gaiman, all that potential! Like that creepy one about killing wholesale, or, ooh, love to so that one about gender crosing pills, um, can't remember the name of that one either... *sigh*
