So, got drunk with room-mates- well floormate actually- on four Smirnoff Ice Black or something. Tastes extremely like Sprite. I hate Sprite but I actually dont' care because mmm, drunken-ness, it's great. Anywya at twelve Lyd&Tom had headed off and Katie&Muneya were looking rather TOO snuggly so I said "this is my cue to leave" because really, some things are just too much and...


... anyway, sorry, I went to my room and we about to get into bed when I realised I wasn't tired. So I thought "What to do? I know! Drunken spam!!!!! :D"

So hooray for the drunken spam. man.

I have somehow managed to put the bar at the bottom of the screen- you know, with the different windows on it- so that it's, you know, it only appears when you hover yopur mouse over it

The option to have it 'hide' itself is somewhere in the properties for the taskbar. Move the cursor to the taskbar (the blue bar) to get it to come back up - then right click on it. A menu will appear. Click on 'properties' and a window will appear. A checkbox stating 'auto hide taskbar' will be ... mm, second (?) on the list. Take the check out of that box and hit 'apply' at the bottom of the window. That should solve the problem.

Why is it auto-hiding, though? Did you ask it to?

You can drag tha bar to the bottom of the screen, often by accident while trying to choose a window etc.

This begins the auto hiding... Sometimes its hard to actually grab it again after it does this... You can also stretch it up to cover half the screen.

Um, actually, no, it's not. properties are lokced on the Uni computers- presumably you can break them, or something. ;)

Anyway, I fixed it myself- it wasn't auto-hiding, it turned out, just showing "full screen" or something like that- I must have hit F11. Clicking Restore or hitting F11 again fixes it.

Glad you're getting on with the floor a bit better (although too many Smirnoffs will really introduce you to the floor - unfortunately, it can spin just as fast as the bed does :-X
