And because I'm extremely sad
Mar. 13th, 2005 02:28 am... and, yeah, sleep is for the week.
The thing I hate about living in New Zealand right now? I can only really feel like i have anything relevant to say about lost when I'm reading people's backlogs from mid-November and it kind of sucks. I mean, someone was saying that they thought fandom was in a way about the urge to be spoiled anyway, which makes me wonder why I don't just go out and download the next umpteen zillion episodes...
... but while I think that, yes, that's a part of what fandom is about, and that is why the "Next Week on Lost" and the ads are almost the best bit about watching it, I'm also having just the best time watching each episode for the first time; it's like if you were reading HPHBP one chapter at a time, or something. Of course, I can still understand the urge to d/l because you want to watch it again, in the same way that one of my goals in life is to watch all of angels in america, and another one is to spend like 36 hour watching the extended editions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers and Return of the King... but the first-time episodes are also so good.
But man, I wish NZ shows aired at even remotely similar times. Because fandom is also about the squeeing and you do need to be un-spoiled to squee, I mean, that's what it's all about, dudes.
I will just have to stick to I <3 Lucy and Sara, my Lost-watching buddies.
