And because I'm extremely sad
Mar. 13th, 2005 02:28 am... and, yeah, sleep is for the week.
The thing I hate about living in New Zealand right now? I can only really feel like i have anything relevant to say about lost when I'm reading people's backlogs from mid-November and it kind of sucks. I mean, someone was saying that they thought fandom was in a way about the urge to be spoiled anyway, which makes me wonder why I don't just go out and download the next umpteen zillion episodes...
... but while I think that, yes, that's a part of what fandom is about, and that is why the "Next Week on Lost" and the ads are almost the best bit about watching it, I'm also having just the best time watching each episode for the first time; it's like if you were reading HPHBP one chapter at a time, or something. Of course, I can still understand the urge to d/l because you want to watch it again, in the same way that one of my goals in life is to watch all of angels in america, and another one is to spend like 36 hour watching the extended editions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers and Return of the King... but the first-time episodes are also so good.
But man, I wish NZ shows aired at even remotely similar times. Because fandom is also about the squeeing and you do need to be un-spoiled to squee, I mean, that's what it's all about, dudes.
I will just have to stick to I <3 Lucy and Sara, my Lost-watching buddies.

Hah. I liked Charlie a LOT in last week's episode. I was rooting for him the whole way!
Unfortunately I have been very slightly spoiled for a soon-up-coming episode- I think either this week's or next week's- and that's kind all I can think about so o.o

Date: 2005-03-13 06:39 pm (UTC)No, I don't, I'm afraid. *guilt* I should credit, really, but... I haven't. Try searching for "death neil gaiman sandman" in Google Image and you'll probably get a variant of it somewhere, I seem to remember it was quite common although I did make it a while ago.

Date: 2005-03-13 10:30 am (UTC)No, really, I think Carla and Greg now hate Lost just on principle, because on Wednesdays I spend all day going "Woop, Lost!" and every other day I'll randomly go "*sigh* I wish it was Wednesday, for with Wednesday comes Lost"
p.s. sawyer/kate all the way bebe
p.p.s. ok mebbe i'd prefer sawyer/sayid but I'll take all the nekkid!sawyer I can get ok

Date: 2005-03-13 06:41 pm (UTC)*grinning* You're doing STERLING WORK, girl, although at one point I think Greg was watching Lost...
Ps: NONONO, surely not? That's as bad as jack/kate for which, okay, it's plebian but I kind of have a weakness. o.O
PPS: Now, sawyer/sayid, that I would ship. ;) Except there's probably something kinda predictable about all these enemy!ships...

Date: 2005-03-13 10:46 pm (UTC)p.s. ...I may or may not also have the Jack/Kate weakness going on.
p.p.s. Well, yeah, but Sawyer doesn't have any friends to ship him with, and I want me some nekkid!Sawyer, damnit! Because. Hot damn. Really.

Date: 2005-03-13 11:22 pm (UTC)... wait, wait, wait, singing group? You have heard him sing, right? *mildly horrified*
PS: It's insidious, isn't it? but then, I actually like Jack, which I think is fairly unusual so... ;)
PPS: Point, that. :P And sawyer/sayid... mm. mmhhmmm.
