Nothing happened to me this week

But sixth_light and I got our bus tickets to go down to Otago for Queen's birthday weekend to see megaffe. To comprehend how excited I am, it is necessary to understand that, for the past seven years, I was at the same school as Meggie and in many of her classes; me and sixth_light and her have been best friends for so long I don't even bother to explain who either of them are (although of course that's had to change this year). Sixth Form English with me and Meg and Mrs Black was a thing of wonder; we spent it reading each other's minds to the general amazement of the rest of the class (Brooke resurrection <3!) So this is, basically, the first time in seven years I haven't seen her on a daily basis. Which, I mean, no words.

I am so excited I keep randomly remembering that I'm going to see Meg and jumping up and down like a totally Mad Thing.

don't even ask. :P Extended discussion of metaphor and the whole "frost" think in, I think it is, The Fallen and Meggie was trying to explain how she thought maybe Brooke was also alluding (that word looks so wrong?) to heaven and the afterlife because frost melts and everything, and she was like, "Well, he's talking about frost, and frost melts, so it's like that word that starts with R.." and I said "resurrection!" and everyone looked at me funny.

Mrs Black didn't agree, but who cares?

Mmm. See, there were many times where I did not see her for extended periods (like, several months) so I probably don't miss _seeing_ her as much as you. But I used to talk to her at least twice a week on the phone, and that I miss like hell.

Next year we are totally going to have to have lots of three-way MSN conversations.

Incidentally, if I ever get annoying, just let me know. What was I doing...? Oh yeah! I liked Mrs Black too! She was nice. I remember sitting in the hotel lobby and waiting for someone to give me A Sign, and then she walks in and starts talking to the guy behind the counter in some funny dialect. I was like, "Mrs. Black?!" and she was like, "You must be David!" It was totally awsome. Instant validation. Really cool.
