I know I've said it before. But I think Public Address is probably the best site I know for New Zealand blogging on a wide range of "issues." Especially Keith Ng for politics, Russell Brown for basically everything, and Tze Ming Mok because she's cool and wrote a truly fantastic essay.

In a nutshell: if you're a New Zealander and you don't read Public Address, you are dead to me. Or something. I can't recommend them enough.

ETA: Someone's syndicated it! public_address. HOORAY!

I went to go add it, because I remembered I had a paid account right now (squee) and it was already there. *pleased*

*seconds* Their columns should be compulsory reading, or something. Someone with a paid account completely needs to get them syndicated to Livejournal. What I especially love is Russell Brown's wealth of links - you want all the best information on a topic, it's linked in there with his writing.

Just, so much love there. We really need to e-mail and tell them how much we appreciate their work.

That essay you linked to was really thought-provoking. Some bits I couldn't work out quite what the EXACT message was but I liked it a lot :D

Read the Checks tour diary I linked to ;) He's the drummer. The one who apparently is worried about his jaw extending... The story is that he drums with his mouth open and so it makes him look like a fish.
