Stuck in my head at this very moment:

Drink with me to days gone by.
Can it be you fear to die?
Will the world remember you when you fall?
Can it be your life means nothing at all?
Is your life just one more life?

and
Here's to pretty girls who went to our heads
Here's to witty girls who went to our beds
he's to them
and here's to us.

I think I will go and listen to that song now. <3 les miserables.

I love that song :)
We sang it at Intermediate, but we had censored lyrics - was quite funny when I realised that the lyrics were totally different :)

Hmmm... I've been trying to remember, but I can't. I even sang it out loud to try and remember, went very flat and had to apologise to [livejournal.com profile] manic_subbie

I know it definitely DID NOT involve
"Here's to pretty girls who went to our heads.
Here's to witty girls who went to our beds"

*grinning* Ah, okay, I suppose I can see how they would skip that out, although it seems harsh to me. I mean, it's not exactly At the End of the Day or Lovely Ladies, is it?

Hee, did they change the bloody in "the Bloody Red Baron" in Snoopy's Christmas as well? :P One of the most thrilling moments of primary school: sanctioned swearing.

The Rain Will Help The Flowerrs Grow.

Ah the most beautiful song I know.

Of course, the song Eponine sings as she dies makes me cry too.

Don't you fret M'sieur Marius
I don't feel any pain.
A little fall of rain
Can hardly hurt me now
You're here, that's all I need to know....

*sniffs* Oh, Eponine.

Very sobbish.
I think the saddest part of Les Mis (book , musical or movie) would have to be Gavrouche dying though... it always makes me cry.

When I went to a production a couple of years ago I pretty much started crying in I Dreamed a Dream and didn't stop the whole way through.

Wait, no I cried when the factory workers picked on Fantine in the first song too.

Yeah, I'm a wuss.

Love it! :D My fave song from Les Mis has gotta be One Day More...gives me chills everytime, I kid you not. Also On My Own, cos it's the song I relate to the most (*facepalm*), and Eponine is awesome...so much cooler than Cosette! And Javert's suicide song where he turns is last note into a scream. And A Little Fall of Rain and I dreamed a dream of course!

Ah, so much goodness...

I love One Day More but way more for its harmonies than its lyrics.... it's fabulous to listen to, but the lyrics don't move me the way Red and Black and At the End of the Day and so forth do. I Dreamed a Dream, though, I LOVE that. *sigh*
