Wow, I suck a lot. [livejournal.com profile] chaos_pockets is compiling a list of recommended books here and I kind of went a little crazy and typed for about an hour. *sigh* Two comments on the third page. Mind you, I recommend without reservation everything on my list so it's wirht it, perhaps. ;)

Mindmeld. ;) You might not have some of the obscure NZ fiction on there, though...

Mmm ... good selections! I like a lot of them. Few points:

Tamsin and The Last Unicorn are my two favorite Peter S Beagle books (although I do have a soft spot for The Innkeeper's Song, as well).

Oh! And Sabriel! *happy sigh* What an amazing book. Probably one of my all time favorites.

Thank you. :P I haven't yet read The Innkeeper's Song but I'll concur about Sabriel- I just re-read Lirael and now I'm all omg! must re-read Sabriel!

Ooooooohhhh!!! (And I never use that sort of exclamation in text.) I don't know anyone else who's read The Bone People, and it is such a lovely, life-shifting book, one of my very favorites. (All your picks there are good, but I was ecstatic to see that.)

I'm ashamed to admit I haven't yet finished it- I got about a third of the way through, was loving it, and then was attacked and mauled by an assignment forcing me to return it to the library. *sob* I am going to finish it though, probably this summer. *sigh*
