Health, etc

I have a doctor's appointment today. I scheduled it awhile ago, and somehow failed to realise that I have three classes on a Tuesday: I managed to organise the appointment so that I have to skip all three classes. Just brilliant, self; it's not like you haven't skipped four french classes already in the last few days, or anything.
If you remember my last big health post, wherein I chronicled my adventures in the land of emergency blood tests and doctor's visits and finding out what platelets were, the last time I talked about my health it was about ITP, which is a platelet deficiency problem. Basically, this appointment today is my probable last appointment for this specific problem: steroids have cleared it up completely (I was actually back in the normal range within a week: of course 40mg of prednisone per day probably are supposed to have a fairly dramatic effect) I'm currently in the process of going off the steroids, hopefully finishing my prescription within the next few days, and... after that all I have to worry about is the count dropping again once I'm off steroids. Which apparently does happen in about forty percent of cases- last time I was there he gave me the four scenarios, which is
-I don't respond to steroids and have to have my spleen removed...!
-I respond only somewhat to steroids, in which case basically they leave me on steroids with a count of about 40
-I respond but my count keeps dropping after I go off them, so basically I go on and off steroids for the forseeable future
-I respond and my count stays up after I go off them (although there is the possibility it could recur later)
At this point happily only the last two look like being options; and of course I'm pretty confident it'll be the last one. :) So I have one more appointment in a few months and then I find out.
I thought I'd better say something at some point because I've had a few people contact me to find out how I'm doing & it's probably best to forstall that. :)
Also, GIP! I like it. >:D FLAMETHROWER!
