Of the good: I'm moving out again (crowd goes WILD).

Of the good: I'm moving into a room big enough for all my books, for a price that's affordable, in a location I like (... one street away from where I have lived my whole life except for Christchurch: The Aberration Years. Shut up, it's what you do when you're a young liberal hip-ish crafty-ish person who's already living in Newtown, the suburb to where young liberal hip-ish crafty-ish people always move).

Of the bad: oh my god, packing. I hate packing. Packing can die.

Of the good: Batgirl and Red Robin are pretty good at the moment, ne? Everyone's alive again! I do miss Cass though, where is she these days?

Can we meet up so I can grab those books? I'd like to buy you lunch or something to say thank you, but if that's too hard to arrange what with moving and shit I can pop up to newtown after work one day.

Ta.

Awesome awesome awesome thank you! Tomorrow is technically possible, but I have so much shit on (including a meeting that promises to be so full of drama) I'd rather make it Tues or Weds if that works so I don't end up flaking after you've carried stuff in. 12 or 1 both good, as is anywhere between railway station and cuba st. Will text you.

To the best of my knowledge, no one knows where Cass is-- I'm pretty sure DC has said she'll show up in the future, but for now she's... hiding out from bad script writers?

Ah. Well, she did have a run of bad luck in there? Although at least she'd had a long time with terrific writing beforehand.

Cassandra Cain, who was Batgirl until very recently.

\o/ for moving out! I look forward to seeing your flat when I come up (side note: how is it that you and Meg have never managed to be both flatting at the same time since, like, first year?)

We have been! We just weren't usually in the same city, but since this is only our second year in the same city and Meg might go flatting again later this year, that's only like *one* year out of five.

Oh lord, I'm so behind on comics. Good to hear Red Robin and Batgirl are still decent, and I agree with you on missing Cass. I love that girl.

Saaame, I think she's brilliant, but I'm sort of SHOCKED that Red Robin, particularly, is OK. I was basically expecting it to be awful, but it's not, like TERRIFIC, but it's pretty solid. He got to hug Kon the other day, it was amazing.

I was a bit unclear there, whoops: I should have said that Batgirl is actually *better* at the moment than Red Robin, but I was less surprised by that because I feel like Tim is quite a difficult character to *get* - at least to get in the way I want him to be portrayed.

Ffft I didn't know you were a comics reader! How did I not know this?

I'm struggling to resist getting pulled in, not very successfully. I'm basically reading Batgirl, and omg, do I love Stephanie Brown and the Stephanie-Damian dynamic. :( Loooooove. Love love.

Haha, because I've been on comics holiday for a year or two? But I'm back in the space ATM, I think (partly because where I'm studying right now is RIGHT across from the comics shop which is going to be lethal.)

STEPH. Yes. I cover her in hearts. I'm also really enjoying the amount of screentime Oracle is getting in Batgirl, especially since Birds of Prey was cancelled (a couple years ago now?) and if ever there was a character important enough to deserve her own book, it's Oracle, but there's something amazingly fitting about her working with and mentoring Steph. I find it really refreshing actually because Steph has always been about needing endorsement from Batman (Bruce anyway), and Tim as Robin, but as Batgirl the people who really have the right to endorse and encourage her are Babs and Cass. And they both did. So I think it's really good as a way to RESOLVE some of Steph's ongoing validation issues.
