IS IT JANUARY YET? HOLY SHIT, SO MUCH HAPPENED THIS WEEK. They're really really really pushing the action here! last three episodes have been JAM PACKED. Thoughts:
1. Well, I called Eden's death, for a couple of reasons. Her power is so... powerful, for one thing: if she can stop Sylar in his tracks she's too powerful for the show to sustain for long. It's too broad. But the other reason was, she's the only character tey really could kill without majorly truncating a storyline - I mean, Eden was still developing her character and storyline right up until the very last minute and it kills me that we won't get more of that, but: first, her personal origin story was already told (and it didn't get much time but, well, she was a recurring) and second, the fact that her story was maybe incomplete isn't going to affect anyone else's story, whereas pretty much every other character's death would adversely affect their story.
2. this is me, calling that Micah and Sylar have the same power. I know it would be the first instance of a duplicate power, but... I so believe in it. (And, damn. Wouldn't it be cool?)
3. ZACH. OH NOES. I AM SO DISTRESSED BY THIS. I just love Zach/k and Claire so MUCH and PLEASE let the Haitian give his memory back? please? and, by the way, HAITIAN CAN TALK. Duuuuuude.
4. This is probably the only show I have ever seen where characters make an attempt to correctly pronounce the names of characters of non-white origins. (See, Asian characters always work really hard to say white names properly, but the reverse? I love the way on LOST, everyone calls Sun, Sun to rhyme with son, EVEN THOUGH none of them have ever seen it written down and, hey, she says it totally differently! And by love, I mean hate.) But Isaac was trying to pronounce Hiro Nakamura correctly and it ROCKED. yay.
5. And speaking of Isaac, he's so much more interesting when he's clean, for all interpretations of clean. fluffy hair!
6. *sniff* Oh, Niki! You're sometimes idiotically wishy-washy but I have such a fondness for dramatic gestures of self-sacrifice that I appreciate you anyway! (Same reason I sort of loved Eden's death even though I was sad she was dying.) By the way, YW has totally honed my interest in self-sacrifice to a knifepoint.
7. PETER. HOLY CRAP. HOLY CRAP. NATHAN WAS THE ONLY ONE STILL WALKING TOWARDS HIM I NEARLY SCREAMED OUT LOUD. AND HE WAS ALL. CUDDLY. WHEN PETER WAS LYING ON THE GROUND. SOB. Also, Peter is totally Sam, kids. or vice versa. Visions? Channeling? (that's still a current theory in SPN, right, wrt the kid in Nightmare? Although it's not one I take seriously myself.) Tortured emo hair?
Peter's mysterious cough and horrible illness - side effect left over from not healing properly after the fall, like maybe Claire's thing wore off? Except he was coughing when he saw Claire, so.
8. "Step on a bug? You're going to DIE!" "I need to find that sword." DUDE.

Destiny.
I wish Destiny would lose our number.
It's all in the set up, seriously.
We already knew about the dreams, didn't we? What with the dreams about flying and the dreams about the accident. I would definitely agree that they're metaphorical, though, which is actually going to be huge fun, I haven't played the pick-apart-the-prophecy game for ages. Re: Nathan: it was not SINISTER. DUDE. He has to FLY PETER OUT OF THE CITY AND SACRIICE HIMSELF SEE MY WEAKNESS FOR SACRIFICE BEING INDULGED EVEN MORE? Guh.
Sorry, a brain is mechanical now???? a brain is much more like a computer than it is like a watch imo.
And given that Peter has chemistry with pretty much EVERYONE ELSE EVER, including but not limited to his brother, this is difficult.
*snickers*
I like the theory that Isaac has been drawing clean for a while now, but just didn't realise that ordinary stuff like people in a diner could be prophetic.
Ditto. The block has been mental for awhile - I bet the comics and things he drew he didn't realise were prophetic either.
Isn't it a wonderful feeling to have a genre show that is a)truly, truly awesome and b)a genuine hit?
YES.
Hey, my phone was a little screwy this morning, did you get my texts? They don't need a response, I just wanna check that it's working.

Eh, I sensed sinister. Although if he sacrifices himself in the finale to save the city and his wife takes over the seat, that could be kinda cool. I'm also of the mind that it was Ted blowing up, but Peter, with his empathic capabilities, was dreaming from Ted's point of view.
