Okay, everyone's already seen this at youngwizards already but - omfg.

Biggest news to hit the fandom since The Wizard's Dilemma? I THINK SO.

Okay, so hot on the heels of horrible news about The Dark is Rising comes news of an almost-certainly-much more palatable movie adaptation of one of my absolute most favourite books of ALL TIME. (That's So You Want To Be A Wizard, by Diane Duane, for those of you who didn't recognise the link. Suckers.) I'm looking forward to this SO much more because a) DD's writing the screenplay b) DD is tough as shit and won't let the bastards grind her down and c) DD's writing it and d) it's already set in America and I doubt they'll be changing that, also, I think it's already in a great format for a movie and e) did I mention DD IS WRITING THE SCREENPLAY. ♥

Of course, it's only the screenplay, and His Dark Materials teaches us that adaptations are kind of like mainland cheese; good (I hope!!!!) things take time. BUT HOLY MOLY GUYS.
