So, remember how I broke my glasses in a really silly way? Well, today my new pair arrived in the mail. The frames are purple and green and rectangular and chunky and I actually cannot wait to take my contacts out so I can put them on. I think I've reached new heights of dork.

In other news, I have a full complement of flatmates! Since none of them have livejournal, I think I'm going to give them nicknames, possibly to be revised at a later date. I shall christen them Ms Firefighter, Ms Civil and Ms Monosyllable. Ms Firefighter is, in fact, an actual firefighter - volunteer, not professional. She also studies geography and geology, on some kind of insane timetable, is on the committee for Te Akatoki, the Maori Student's Association, and she volunteers for Rotaract and like eight zillion other things. She also dated my ex for awhile which is how I know her. Although she sounds unpleasantly like a saint, she's actually pretty cool. Ms Civil is not particularly civil, she just studies Civil Engineering and that's... pretty much all I know about her. She seems friendly and normal. Ms Monosyllable studies Chemical Engineering and is really quiet but seems pretty neat, however, it's hard to tell since she doesn't speak very often.

I'm now onto Season Five of Gilmore Girls.

Finally: has anyone got the song they played at the end of Nightshifter? Uh, from google I'm guessing it's called Renegade by Styx? Yeah, lemme know.

Uh, sure, and, you don't? That guy from first year? It did technically count as dating, and while I could go, at length, into a whole we-flirted-for-months-and-dated-for-days-and-then-he-dumped-me explanation, it was kind of too much information.

actually it did lead to some hilarity because we were talking earlier and he told me to make sure my new flatmate (alice) was hot, to which I responded something in the lines of "what, you're trying to make your way through the whole flat"? to which he said, ouch, and to which Amelia said HAH. And, apparently, so did everyone else when she told them, so I feel vindicated. :P
