I heard Columbus could balance an egg.
Easy.

I'm taking an egg out of the carton
running my finger along the cool edge of the world
infinity in an eggshell:
which came first?

The point of it:
balancing an egg on its end
balancing a ship on the world
balancing life on the edge

guess.

pick your star.

Finding India, finding America
finding me, curled inside the egg
when it is cracked open
there I am.

Balancing an egg on its end
it's easier than you think:
you just have to know
where to put your finger.

I don't even know what it's about. Apart from eggs, obviously. But its less disjointed than some stuff I've read recently. :D

I like. As for disjointed.... e.e. cummings is great but IMPOSSIBLE to read. I try not to read too much poetry in case I start copying someone else's style. Me naughty.

I suppose, haha. I'm really stressing about my writing folio, since I'm USELESS at stories, I've decided to use some poems and a descriptive piece I've already written and a couple more poems on top of that. I hope I won't get in trouble for being too poemy.

Um, I'm pretty sure it's just typical egg-type symbolism if anything, but actually I didn't mean for the image to stand for anything,I just liked the image. Um. :p

On the other hand, that may be exactly what post-grad Arts degree students would get out of it, so who am I to say? :D
