labellementeuse: a girl sits at a desk in front of a window, chewing a pencil (my own adventures)

I was really enjoying it right up til she said 'can you get me back by tomorrow morning?' When it panned to the wedding dress I swore really loudly.

I just. OK. Why can't she have, in the intervening years, gotten a job that enables her to wear outfits she can run in? Or a job she you know liked? (IDEK, maybe she liked being a Kissogram and I'm just being an asshole to sex workers, but!) Do they all HAVE to have boyfriends back home or be in love with the Doctor OR BOTH? That was what was AMAZING about Donna, amirite?

in other news, um, Amy is really rather gorgeous. I am shallow, shallow, SHALLOW (it doesn't help that she's my new Dairine dream casting-if-Dairine-was-an-adult and therefore gets both the red-head thing and the smrt thing - I blame Mallory from the Babysitter's Club for the fact that the intersection of these two things is like my Kryptonite, btw.)

Oh what else. I should have opinions, I know. OK, I was sort of hoping that the multiple ties thing was going to be a thing! Weird, I know, but I'd like the Doctor to be dressed a little more quirkily this season. Dude used to pull off decorative vegetables, ffs. I did love that she's not from London! (I really hope that the Christmas special is set in her village, the name of which I didn't catch, and we get a cameo of someone from London being like 'Seriously, I came here for Christmas to get away from this shit!') I can't decide whether or not I want her to be marrying computer guy or nurse guy. Oh yes I can, nurse guy (I gotta represent for the nurses.) Umm. Yeah, I think that's all.

I didn't find the plot that thrilling, to be honest. This may partly be a comedown to Moffat's more ground-level drama from Rusty's totally ridiculous Apocalypse Now And Also, Five Minutes From Now, And Ten Minutes After That Too styles. So, hm, dunno.

With the start of the new academic quarter, I had completely missed that The Eleventh Hour would premier on the 3rd. Thanks for the heads up... of course, being in the USA, I can't watch it on BBC.com and so have to wait for iTunes. That is, if I want to watch it legally :-) ($1.99 for standard def. episode is quite an okay deal in my opinion).
