blah de blah, also, wheresoever I do move, I'm thinking of going as Birdhead. The trouble with this is it was a screen name I used extensively when I was a lot younger, so it has a certain amount of associated, embarassing baggage. OTOH, I also consider that kind of an upside. I like my names to have history, and I guess if I do this I can consider labellementeuse kind of a... phase (guys. it means "the beautiful liar" in French. it just, it was not a good time for me creatively.) so uh, yeah, if you think this is a stupid name go ahead and tell me, but otherwise, I'd check that before checking this name.

Ahaha, I feel you on old screen name baggage. There's some older stuff attached to this one that I find kind of embarrassing (I've been using it since 2002), but it's nowhere near as bad as the screen names I had before it. Which I am infinitely thankful for.

Is there a general air of unhappiness? I'm so out of the loop.

hee, well, I was Birdhead from the moment I hit the 'net. So there is some baggage, but there are many good memories too, so.

Yeah. Check out the comments on the latest news post for some anger, or browse some HP journals. There have been some deletions, without warnings. Also of someone's permanent account, which SUCKS.

Mmm, rename tokens! I felt similarly about manic_subbie - in the years after getting the LJ I got the manic part under control, and discovered I wasn't as subbie as I thought. ;)

I will be sad if you leave LJ. I'm already keeping up with as many blogs and networking sites as I can handle, I think. :/

hee, yeah. actually, I've had a couple of LJ friends change their names recently, and it was really disorienting. I'm juuuuust about used to cactus_cat but...

I won't leave properly, if at all, I think. I'm too lazy for the boycott, I just need to be able to keep up with people elsewhere. :P
