labellementeuseblah, still no hair pictures, it'll happen! at some point!
I am developing a new body of work, hair-wise, though. I discovered a few days ago that I can put my hair in two plaits and look funky and cool rather than twelve years old! This is a big development, because I don't really like the single-ponytail look that much, and yet for the past few years I have ALWAYS worn my hair that way when it needs not to be out, because otherwise I look like, I don't know, an eight year old girl with ribbons in her hair, and it's lame.
I can also do the two-bunches look, although because of The Way My Hair Is, I should only ever do this when I don't plan on taking it out and having it look straight again, because even twenty minutes of it gives me ponytail kink like nothing else. And I don't own hair straighteners. Also, my hair needs blowdrying now. SIGH. But I still like it, so I guess I'll get over it!
In other news, we're having a BBQ tonight, and Amelia is making bread - like, white rolls, wholemeal loaf, and capsicum in a plait, it's really beautiful even though I kind of hate capsicum, but it LOOKS great. I am making creme caramel because we had yolks left over from her pavlova (which dropped, = TRAGEDY: it was HUGE and puffed up beautifully last night and when we got up this morning, flat as a pancake.) I am also making chocolate cake with two kinds of buttercream to celebrate my new ELECTRIC EGGBEATER. DUDES. IT GOES ROUND AND ROUND. So thrilled to say goodbye to my whisk...!
