What is the thing with this Dreamwidth? I've seen it mentioned twice today and I'm a bit clueless as to what it is. *nosy*

It's an LJ clone - sort of, except it has a whole range of features that are way improved, it's specifically designed to be easy for fandom to colonise (and is fandom-friendly), and it has a bunch of other things going for it. Check out synecdochic and there should be some links, or you can probably google dreamwidth by now and get it. :)
