I'm looking for a stargate SG-1 episode. It's pre-Ben Browder, and I'm pretty sure but not 100% sure that Daniel's in the episode (so not season 6). I read through the summaries on IMDB (which are awful, btw!) and wikipedia and didn't see anything that sounded like what I remembered. SG-1 are captured, or at least Jack and Sam and maybe also Daniel and Teal'c are captured, and kept in an underground or cave prison (but I'm pretty sure it's not "Beneath the Surface.") I *think* the prison is run by Goa'uld. Individual members of the team get dragged off and tortured - I particularly remember Jack being taken (but it's not "Abyss"). He hugs Sam at some point, I think, or they have otherwise affectionate times.

It's really driving me nuts! I've read all the summaries! I just want to rewatch this one episode! Sigh.

There's an episode where the team are in prison pre-Ben and Jack hugs Sam. They're on an ice planet and they see the underclass that keeps the boilers running so they brain wash them and give them new identities. Jack and Sam have a bond and at one point he hugs her. Teal'c nearly dies because he's not sleeping. I'm pretty sure it's pre/in season 5.

That's "Beneath the Surface." I'm like 95% sure that's not it, because I like that episode (because Sam and Jack have a bond and I.... really really ship them. Jack/Daniel makes me want to cry and hate slashers, and I am a slasher, so that's difficult for me.) so anyway I've seen that episode before and I'm pretty sure the one I'm looking for I only saw once, in my first beginning-to-end run.

The first ep this reminded me of is 3-19 "New Ground" - I think primarily because that's the main torture ep I remember. I don't think it's that one though, because in that one they're in a tent above ground, and they're kept in tiny individual cages, and it's very mean. (Also, I really want to watch season 3 again).

On further contemplation, it could be either 6-16 "Metamorphosis" or or 3.12/3.13 "Jolinar's Memories"/"The Devil You Know". In both of these they're kept in cages underground, and taken off one at a time to get tortured (this actually happens to them a lot, doesn't it?).

I don't remember any hugs (which is the sort of thing I'd normally remember), but I haven't watched season 3 in years. There is particular emphasis on Sam being hurt/having a bad day in these though, so that may well lead to that sort of thing.

Anyway, I'll continue further contemplation (because this is fun), and if you think up any more details, let me know, lol.
