Well, I'm back.
Mar. 15th, 2004 07:21 pmSo, what's up with y'all?
:D Yes, I'm home, finally. I'm a little tired (crossing the dateline does that to you... slept 11.5 hours last night, it was the BEST) but I can report that trip was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, DARLINGS.
It really was. New York, Washington, a bunch of nice bright people. The conference was great, some really good speakers, but the best bit was definitely hte actual places, just the being and doing there. Shopping in Chinatown..,. the Metropolitan Museum of Art ( <3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Actual real Monet and Degas and Rapael and Rodin!!!! *mindblown* sososo amazing.)... seing 42nd Street ON 42nd Street... Times Square at night (BRIGHT)... Smithsonian Museums... all the memorials and monuments in Washington... BOOKSHOPS! (massive.)
Speaking of bookshops, hey, you. I got them. :D Took me about eight bookshops, but I have Volumes I and II of Paradise Kiss for your enjoyment. Saturday good?
At any rate, I have no time just now. but wanted to let people know that I'm back.

Date: 2004-03-14 11:06 pm (UTC)YOU MUST TELL ME EVERYTHING! I COMMAND YOU! Actually, we should have a welcome home celebration!
And, yeah. I have missed you tres muchly.
Saturday was surprisingly good! He got us all up and we started dancing and doing these funny clapping/rythym exercises that were actually really helpful. Then after morning tea we did some improvisation (the violins and cellos were finding it difficult) and he said to me "Do you play jazz" and I said"Umm, a little..." and then he said "You know walking baselines?" and then I said "Erm, yes..." and this was all really odd. But yes. He was very brilliant and I was thinkng just now how easily it would be to fangirl him because he was so adorably gay.
Yes. I have many exciting things to tell you! *explodes with excitement* When are you going back to school?

Also, you shouldn't fangirl real people, they will get Scared. :D Also, you shouldn't fangirl someone I don't know, I'll get all frustrated.
Heh, I want to hear everything...

Date: 2004-03-20 02:08 am (UTC)But still. it would have been nice to go away and come back just in time for Cuba St Carnival and Matthew Barley and Cabaret practices and the Arts Festival (not neccesarily in that order.)
But hey. We have festivals every year, right? :)
